Understanding and Knowing Your Skin Type

It’s very important to know what type of skin you have. If you know and understand your skin type, its easy to know the types of products you need to buy and use. We have decided it’s best we learn this first before we move on to any make-up tutorials. Applying make-up can affect your skin, especially if it’s sensitive, so we need to learn how to take care of it properly

To determine your skin type if you are not sure, you can perform the following:

Step 1: Wash your face and gently pat dry

Step 2: Leave your face alone for a few hours without putting any make-up or product on

Step 3: Using oil blotting paper, dab on one area of the face at a time

Step 4: Look at the paper to see which areas leave an oily residue on the paper (if any)

Do note that your T-zone (forehead and nose) are naturally a little oily
